September 25th, 2014:
Thanks to all of the parents who attended the Title 1 Night and were able to visit our classroom!
What we are learning this week/next week:
Math: We will begin learning about multiplication on Monday!
Science: We are learning about MATTER!
Reading: We are learning about characters through reading different series books. Students are working on building their reading stamina and building a reading life. It is important that students are reading as much as possible at home!
Writing: We are working on writing pieces that focus on only a "small moment" in our lives. These narratives are true stories that help stretch a small moment with details to help our reader get a "picture" in our mind.
Some updates for you:
*Progress Reports went home two days ago. Some student work was also sent home in the green folders for your review!
*Conference forms were sent home. Please make sure you return the form so that conferences can be scheduled by the end of October. I look forward to meeting with you about your child's progress and discussing academic and social goals with you!
